About us

Why choose Fertility Exeter ?

Fertility Exeter was the first IVF clinic in the Southwest and has been established for over 20 years.

Working closely with our team of experts, you will have access to the latest evidence based  techniques and technologies for treatment.

Our clinic in Exeter is home to some of the leading fertility professionals from around the UK and beyond, many of which have been with us for over 10 years. This dedication gives us family values, and these extend to our patients. With Fertility Exeter, you can expect a holistic, supportive and personalised package of care.

Passionate about helping to create families

We have a close knit team who will welcome you to the heart of it. Our low staff turnover evidences the level of commitment the team has to providing the very best service for patients. When you come to Fertility Exeter, you will meet a team that feels privileged to care for you.

Our Nurses come from a range of backgrounds and bring immense expertise to the service. Thanks to our excellent reputation, our Embryologists and Consultants have relocated from all over the country to join us in Exeter. We may be biased but we believe we have the cream of the crop.

The latest technology and treatments

We are always at the forefront of adopting the latest technology. We were the first clinic in the Southwest with a time-lapse system (a specially designed digital microscope which takes images to produce time-lapse films of embryo development).

We also benefit from a close relationship with Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital, and this allows us to offer Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) to patients without them having to travel to London.

Unlike some clinics, Laser Assisted Hatching is included as standard in our packages of care, if clinically indicated. Other treatments such as Endometrial Scratch and Embryo Glue are available if the need is identified during your treatment pathway.

NHS and Self-funded treatment options available

As part of the Royal Devon & Exeter Foundation Trust, we offer NHS services and self-funded treatments for patients that do not meet NHS funding criteria. The first step is to see your GP who can provide advice, and then refer you to the clinic if necessary.

Personalised service

Our fertility treatment options are as individual as the patient having them. Whatever your circumstances, we commit to finding the right options for your personal needs. Our multidisciplinary team works together closely to establish the best pathway for you and our counsellors are on hand to provide extra support if you need it.

We have two independent Counsellors working at Fertility Exeter to ensure your emotional wellbeing is taken care of throughout your journey. With many years of experience, they understand how challenging your experience may be at times and will be pleased to see you at whatever stage of the process you are at. We never want you to feel alone.

Our Counsellors are also trained to offer implication counselling for egg sharing and donor treatments.
