Before booking a semen analysis appointment, ensure you have visited your GP and received a sample pot and either a form (completed and signed by your GP) or a barcode on the pot showing your details. For Fertility Exeter patients, we will post this to your home address.
There is a limited number of appointments for the production of samples on site (SoS). These are reserved for patients who live more than 90 minutes from the clinic or have transport concerns. Please do not book these appointments if you live within the catchment area, as your appointment may be cancelled if we believe our room is not required.
When booking an appointment, please provide all the sample provider’s details, not the partner’s contact information, as the appointment will be cancelled.
On the day of your appointment, please produce your sample at home, no more than 90 minutes before your appointment time (unless you are SoS). Ensure the lid of your pot is on correctly; any leakage will mean we cannot analyse your sample. On arrival, please use the check-in kiosk to log your arrival. If the system will not allow you to check in, please report to the Fertility Exeter reception. A member of the Embryology team will see you for your drop-off appointment, which should take no more than 5-10 minutes.
